“The results are optimal. People always tend to compare what they have with what they had before, and I think the information that we have now is excellent and of unique quality. We can rely on this information for planning purposes, and its accuracy is undeniable”
Sebastián Ferro, Managing Director Ferro Torre
Ferro Torre S.A., one of the most important Ecuadorian steel product manufacturers, assigned COSMO CONSULT the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX. Thanks to the ERP, the company can now manage its production plans optimally. Its plants are located in Quito and Guayaquil (Ecuador).
The company specializes in the manufacturing and transformation of steel products, particularly profiles for heavy structures. It imports raw material which is then subjected to longitudinal cutting processes to produce pipes and special elements for construction such as metal bands and profiles for heavy structures. Ferro Torre is also providing its equipment to third parties so that they can develop their different types of cutting, folding, long steel and lamination, etc.
Originally a commercial company, Ferro Torre lacked cost control and production planning systems, a problem that was resolved with the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX. Thanks to ERP Dynamics, implemented by COSMO CONSULT, Ferro Torre was able to optimize its production plans and make strategic decisions based on the information provided by the system.
Ferro Torre chose COSMO CONSULT to carry out the MS Dynamics AX implementation project, “People at COSMO CONSULT are top quality, experienced and professional. There are few like them on the market. Their guidance has been first class, and I believe that they are reliable, very reliable. We would strongly recommend COSMO CONSULT without hesitation to other clients, our results are visible” stated Sebastián Ferro, Managing Director of Ferro Torre S.A.
Today Ferro Torre makes all day-to-day and strategic decisions based on reliable information and data from the ERP system. The planning quality could be significantly improved and thus a better control over the processes could be achieved. "We really do have security with regard to information and can fully rely on it," emphasizes Sebastián Ferro.
